How BabyPapaw came to be

What started as late-night chats between two sleep-deprived friends turned into a coaching practice built on gentle, realistic routines. Here are the moments that shaped it.

2019

The first honest conversation

Our founder, Meera, was struggling with her daughter's early morning wakings and felt every sleep method she tried made things worse. A friend who had trained as a newborn care specialist suggested she stop following rigid schedules and start watching her baby's actual cues. That shift in thinking, from forcing a routine to adapting one, became the seed of BabyPapaw.

2021

From one family to many

After helping a handful of local parents navigate the four-month regression and nap transitions, Meera realised the same gentle principles worked across very different homes. She began documenting what actually helped: not complicated charts, but simple daily rhythm adjustments and honest conversations about what tired parents could manage. Word spread through parent groups, and the waiting list grew longer than expected.

2023

Going remote, staying personal

Video calls opened up the practice to families beyond our city. The format changed how sessions worked: we built a simple digital tracker so parents could log naps and night wakings between calls, and follow-up messages replaced the pressure of getting everything right in one sitting. What stayed the same was the core promise, no method forced onto a family that doesn't fit it.

Today

A practice grounded in real homes

BabyPapaw now supports families across India and beyond, from newborns figuring out day and night to twelve-month-olds ready to drop their last nap. Every plan still starts the same way: with a conversation about your baby, your home, and what you can realistically keep up with. The tools have grown, but the approach hasn't changed.

We help tired parents find a calmer path to better sleep

BabyPapaw started with a simple observation: most sleep advice assumes your baby should fit a perfect schedule, and when that doesn't happen, parents blame themselves. We think the opposite. Your home, your baby's temperament, and your energy levels matter more than any rigid method.

So we built a coaching practice around realistic routines, gentle settling techniques, and age-appropriate nap plans that bend to real life. No cry-it-out pressure, no one-size-fits-all charts. Just practical guidance for newborns and infants up to twelve months, delivered with patience and without judgment.

What we believe

  • Sleep coaching should respect your baby's natural rhythm, not fight it.

  • A method only works if it fits your actual home setup and daily life.

  • Tired caregivers need support that feels manageable, not another checklist.

Who we work with

Parents of newborns and infants up to twelve months who are navigating day-night confusion, early morning wakings, feeding-related sleep associations, or big transitions like dropping the third nap or moving to a cot.

How we work

Sessions happen over video calls, with follow-up message support between consultations. You also get a simple digital tracker to log naps and nights, so we can adjust the plan based on what's actually happening at home.

Our tone

Honest, calm, and practical. We won't promise a full night of sleep by Friday, but we will help you understand your baby's cues and build a routine that holds up on difficult days.

Trusted by families who want a calmer night

We work alongside pediatric nurses, lactation consultants, and early childhood educators who share the same gentle, realistic philosophy. Their support helps keep every plan grounded in what is actually safe and workable at home.

Questions parents ask before we start

A few honest answers about how the coaching works, what it asks of you, and where it fits in your family's life.

Is this sleep training with crying?

No. The approach is built around gentle settling techniques and gradual changes that respect your baby's temperament. We never push a cry-it-out method. You stay with your baby, offer comfort, and make small shifts over days rather than forcing a sudden change.

What age range do you work with?

We support families with babies from newborn through twelve months. That covers early day-night confusion, the 4-month regression, dropping naps, and the move to a cot. Each plan is adjusted to where your baby actually is developmentally, not to a fixed checklist.

How do sessions work?

Coaching happens through video calls, so we can see your nursery setup and talk through your real daily rhythm. Between calls, you get follow-up message support and a simple digital tracker to log naps and night wakings. It's designed to fit around a tired parent's schedule, not add more pressure.

What if my baby has a medical condition or special need?

If there's any medical concern, we'll ask you to check with your pediatrician before we begin. Sleep coaching works alongside medical care, but it isn't a substitute for it. We're happy to coordinate with your doctor's guidance to keep everything safe and appropriate.

How long before we see progress?

Some families notice calmer bedtimes within a week. Bigger shifts, like dropping a nap or breaking a feeding association, usually take two to three weeks of consistency. We set realistic expectations up front so you're not chasing overnight perfection.

Do you offer a free intro call?

Yes. A fifteen-minute call lets us hear about your baby's sleep, your home setup, and what's been tried so far. It's a chance to see if the approach feels right for your family before committing to a full plan. You can book it through the contact page whenever you're ready.

Still unsure whether this fits your situation? Reach out on the contact page and we'll point you in the right direction.
